The renowned Matcha Maiko Cafe franchise specializes in Matcha, or green tea desserts from soft serve ice cream to shaved iced. The owners came to us to design their new location in Westlake Mall.
Within the bustling Westlake Mall this storefront grabs the attention of passersby with bright signage and lighting and contrasting bold colors. The color palette was inspired by the brilliant green of Match Powder, combined with natural wood tones. We used elements from the traditional Japanese house, with a modern twist using wood in patterns to create the warm feeling of a Japanese tea house.
The brilliant colors of the ingredients were derived into the storefront design. This small shop located in Westlake Mall, highlights the design and artistry of the cones and treats provided. Within the bustling heart of Seattle this storefront grabs the attention of passersby with bright signage and lighting and contrasting bold colors. Our inspiration flowed from the traditional doors of Japanese houses which we translated through the wooden designs.
