Varro

Italian restaurant design for Varro, an Italian bar open from morning to night. Varro serves coffee and Italian cuisine during the day and becomes a vibrant nightlife hotspot. We were tasked to come up with a design that steps away from the typical Seattle restaurant and bar (earth tones, natural wood, etc.), encompassing Italian style and culture from the 1960’s. We used geometric shapes and primary colors that echo the logo, and black and white for the mural borrowing from Italian poster art from the period.
